When you send an inquiry

The inquiry form asks for your name, your partner’s name, your email address, your phone number, your wedding date, your venue or event address, the package you’re interested in, your budget range, whether you’re working with a photographer, how you found us, and whatever you write in the message box. You also tell us whether it’s alright to text you.

We use those details for one thing: to check our availability for your date and reply to you. That inquiry is passed to Zapier, which creates a project in HoneyBook — the studio management tool we run the business on. Your reply may be sent through Resend, our email provider.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is not added to a marketing list unless you ask us to add you.

When you just browse

The site sets a few small cookies so it can recognise a returning visitor without knowing who they are. They hold a random identifier, a rough visit count, and a category we use to decide which version of a page to show. None of that is tied to your name or email unless you later send an inquiry.

We also record which page you landed on and where you came from — a search engine, a social link, an ad, or an AI assistant. Those events are stored in our own database (Supabase) and are used to understand what people actually read.

Advertising

We run Google Ads, and Google’s tag loads on every page. When an inquiry is submitted successfully, we tell Google that a conversion happened so we know which ads are worth paying for. Google may use its own cookies for this — their handling is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

Others who see something

Our site is hosted by Netlify, and icon fonts are served by unpkg. Like any web host or CDN, they receive your IP address and browser details as a normal part of delivering the page. We also use Vimeo and YouTube to play films; those players are subject to their own privacy terms.

Texting

We only text you if you gave us a phone number and said it was alright. It will be about your wedding and your booking — never marketing blasts. Reply STOP at any time and we’ll stop.

How long we keep things

Inquiries live in HoneyBook for as long as we’re working together, and afterwards as part of our business records. Browsing cookies expire on their own. If you asked about a date and never booked, you can ask us to delete the inquiry entirely.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Email info@effervescentfilms.com and we’ll take care of it. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser — the site still works without them, it just won’t remember you.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning a wedding. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
